DosiMagic at the PTCOG-64 (2026)
Three of the principal investigators and all the doctoral students took part in the 64th Annual Particle Therapy Co-Operative Group Conference (PTCOG) in Deauville, Normandy, France, from 8-13 June. We shared three digital posters with the international particle therapy community.
Fynn Joris Güldenhaupt presented a Monte Carlo study of magnetic field effects on dose and LET distributions in MR-guided Proton Therapy. Panagiotis Antypas shared results on the influence of detector sensitive volume on ionization chamber response for MR-guided particle therapy. Jing Syuen Wong presented the measurements of correction factors for cylindrical ionization chambers with therapeutic helium beams in magnetic fields.
The conference showcased the latest developments across the field, from clinical advances to novel dosimetry techniques. Beyond the educational and scientific programs, a particular highlight was connecting with the community and laying the groundwork for future collaborations.
First DosiMagic In-person Meeting (2026)
After the kickoff meeting in 2025, this year’s meeting marked an occasion to welcome new members and connect in person as a consortium. All the members, except Principal Investigator Hui Khee Looe, joined the first DosiMagic in-person meeting at MedAustron, Wiener Neustadt, Austria, from 11-14 March.
The group toured the facility before taking part in a hands-on measurement shift. Beyond fostering personal connections across the consortium, the meeting helped strengthen collaboration across work packages and set clear goals for the months ahead.
DosiMagic at DGMP-56 (2025)
Looking back on the 56th Annual Conference of the German Society for Medical Physics (Deutsche Gesellschaft für Medizinische Physik, DGMP) in Berlin, Germany, from 24-27 September, our doctoral student Jing Syuen Wong introduced the DosiMagic consortium to the German medical physics society and presented her results on the Fano test for therapeutic carbon and helium beams in magnetic fields using Geant4/GATE. DosiMagic Kick-off Meeting at ESTRO (2025)
All the principal investigators met at ESTRO from 2-6 May in Vienna, Austria, for a kick-off meeting, exchanging ideas and laying out plans.
