Jing Syuen began her PhD and training as a Medical Physics Expert (MPE) in September 2024 at the University Clinic of Medical Radiation Physics, Pius-Hospital Oldenburg. She joined the DosiMagic Consortium in January 2025.
Prior to her PhD, she completed her B. Eng. and M. Sc. in Engineering Physics with a specialization in Biomedical Physics at the Carl von Ossietzky University of Oldenburg, Germany, in 2024. Her bachelor’s thesis investigated dose interface effects in MR-linac systems, while her master’s thesis focused on Monte Carlo simulations of ionization chamber dose response for proton beams in magnetic fields.
Her work centers on modelling and validating detectors across multiple Monte Carlo codes, with a focus on understanding the underlying particle transport in magnetic fields and benchmarking code performance in the scope of WP 3. Her research interests lie in Monte Carlo transport physics and the fundamentals of radiation dosimetry.
