Fynn Joris Güldenhaupt

Fynn has obtained his M.Sc. in medical physics at TU Dortmund University in 2025, working on Monte Carlo simulations for ocular brachytherapy.  In his Master‘s thesis, he worked on the development of a novel method to distinguish atoms undergoing radioactive decay based on the location of their incident decay. Before his Master‘s degree, he obtained his B.Sc. in Dortmund, where he worked on detector readout electronics in the interface of high-energy physics and particle therapy in the scope of his Bachelor’s thesis.

Fynn joined the DosiMagic project as a PhD student in October 2025, working with the University of Applied Sciences in Gießen and TU Dortmund University. Fynn‘s tasks within the project focus on the WP 1: general effects of magnetic fields  on particle beams. Within this work package, Fynn investigates the changes in absorbed dose, beam quality, and biological effectiveness in the presence of magnetic fields.
