Ap. Prof. PD. DI Hermann Fuchs, PhD is a post-doctoral researcher at the Department of Radiation Oncology of the Medical University of Vienna and he is responsible for the coordination of all Monte Carlo-related research at the Department of Radiation Oncology. He has supervised and co-supervised numerous Master’s and doctoral researchers. Since 2017, his research focuses on the combination of ion beam therapy and magnetic resonance-guidance exploring dose calculation and dosimetric effects.
Within the DosiMagic framework, he serves as the Austrian Project leader and, together with Dr. Hugo Palmans, he will lead WP 2 on Feasibility of Reference Detectors and Experimental Investigation of Detector Response in Magnetic Fields.
